Accessibility statement

This website is built to meet WCAG 2.1 level AA. We have designed it mobile-first, with semantic landmarks, visible keyboard focus, real alt text and respect for the operating system's reduce-motion setting. This statement records what we have done, what we have not yet verified, and how to report a problem.

What we have built in

  • Keyboard access. Every interactive element is reachable and operable by keyboard, with a visible focus ring. A skip link at the top of each page jumps straight to the main content.
  • Semantic structure. Pages use real landmarks — header, nav, main, footer — with one h1 per page and headings in order. Navigation menus are built from native HTML elements rather than scripted widgets.
  • Reduced motion. If your operating system is set to reduce motion, animations and smooth scrolling are switched off.
  • Text and zoom. Text is real text, not images of text, and the layout reflows to 320px and to 200% zoom without loss of content.
  • Tables. Comparison tables use proper header cells and captions, and stack rather than scroll sideways on small screens so no column is hidden.
  • Forms. Every field has a visible, associated label. Errors and confirmations are announced to screen readers.

Compliance status

We have built to WCAG 2.1 AA and tested during development with keyboard navigation and automated checks. We have not yet commissioned an independent audit or user testing with assistive technology users, so we do not claim a verified conformance level.

Known limitations

  • Screen reader testing. Not yet tested end to end with NVDA, JAWS or VoiceOver by a regular user of those tools. [PLACEHOLDER: update once tested.]
  • Documents. Documents we provide to buyers, such as the DPIA template and Clinical Safety Case Reports, may not all meet the same standard as this website. Ask us and we will provide an accessible version.

This is a private-sector website. The Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) Accessibility Regulations 2018 do not apply to it. We publish this statement because our buyers are NHS organisations that do have those duties, and because we would build to this standard regardless.
