How it works
Referral processing is administrative and record-keeping support. It moves information that already exists in the record into the shape a referral requires, and stops there.
The clinician records the encounter
Nothing is gathered that the clinician has not already entered. The tool reads the existing clinical record; it does not ask the patient questions or collect new clinical information.
The tool structures it into a draft letter
Information already in the record is reorganised into the structure a receiving service expects, with the relevant history, findings and attachments assembled in one place.
The clinician reviews, edits and approves
The draft is not a referral until a clinician has read it, changed what needs changing and approved it. Nothing is sent automatically.
